Evans EC2 SST Marching Tenor Drumhead - 8"

The Evans EC2 SST 8" Marching Tenor Drumhead is designed for marching quads and tenors, built to withstand the tension and durability requirements of any marching activity. A reliable option for marching band and drumline programs competing at indoor and outdoor events, this head produces the focused, projecting sound that the EC2 SST series is known for.

The EC2 SST uses two identical plies of 7mil film for a total thickness of 14mil, delivering pronounced attack, durability, and the resonance needed to project on the field and in the gym. The specially designed hoop profile handles the high-tension demands of marching percussion, and Evans Sound Shaping Technology (SST) controls overtones so the fundamental pitch cuts through cleanly. The SST damping ring is calibrated specifically to each drum diameter, so rather than a uniform approach across all sizes, each head is individually tuned to produce its best sound across the full range of a marching quad or tenor set.
