Contemporanea Nesting Surdo - Red - 18"

The Contemporanea 18" x 40cm Nesting Surdo delivers the deep, driving bass voice essential to samba and Brazilian percussion ensembles in a lightweight, practical design. Its 18-inch aluminum shell provides strong projection while remaining easy to transport, making it a versatile choice for beginners, experienced percussionists, schools, and ensemble programs. The bright red lacquered finish gives the drum a distinctive appearance on the stage, street, or parade route.

Designed for flexible performance and convenient storage, this Contemporanea Surdo can be played standing on the floor using the included rubber feet or suspended from the body with an optional strap. Nylon and imitation leather drumheads provide a responsive playing surface, while lacquered hoops complete the durable design. As part of Contemporanea's Nesting Surdo series, the drum can also be stacked with compatible nesting models to save valuable space during storage and transportation.
