These mallets are okay. Maybe it was overly optimistic of me, but I was hoping to be able to use a single roller as an all-purpose bass drum mallet and use the pair when I needed to roll and save myself the need to buy a separate single mallet. They're pretty lightweight so you can't get a very full sound from the drum, though the lack of heft does make them easy to roll with. They feel kind of cheaply made, but they are cheaper than many similar styles of mallets, so that's not necessarily unfair. Overall, if you're looking for a lightweight pair of inexpensive bass drum rollers, these will work for you, but don't expect more than that.
