Feel, balance, and sound are all good. Both striking surfaces are useful as well.
Description
Grover PM-3 Chime Mallet is the first chime mallet specifically designed for percussionists! The unbreakable head features a hard and soft side. The Soft side is marked by the blue band. Extra weight produces a true fundamental sonority. A custom made hardwood handle gives exceptional feel and balance. Far superior to the rawhide chime mallet.

The two surfaces on the mallet allow for the performer and conductor to have choices in desired timbre.

This mallet has the best of both worlds. My favorite is the hard side. It gives a nice long tone that flows with music.The soft side is good but it doesn't give the greatest feel unlike the hard side. Overall I would give this mallet an awesome 5.
