Description

,p>The LP Monsoon Rainmaker is unique among rain sticks. Constructed from quality, stained wood, it features an interior architecture that lengthens the travel of the inner fill, it increases the length of the "rain shower", like never before. Although the LP Monsoon Rainmaker is only 24" tall, it produces a staggering and unprecedented 25 to 30 second rain sustain.

If you've ever tried a rain stick, you'll attest to the thrill you get when you tilt the long tube slowly and steadily from one side to the other. The fill material conspires with the acoustics of the hollow tube to generate a rainstorm and one that lasts until the inner beads hit bottom!

If you're looking to set forth a tempest, then the LP Monsoon Rainmaker will generate the longest rain shower on the market. That is not only a design feature; it is a sigh of relief from the percussionist accustomed to reversing traditional rain sticks every ten-plus seconds.

The LP Monsoon Rainmaker is recommended for a good, long sonic soaking. As they say, "umbrella not included".

I had the opportunity to try out a variety of LP rain sticks at our local music ed conference, and this one immediately stood out to me. It is compact, sturdy, and makes a lot of rain for a sustained amount of time. I wanted one immediately and programmed a piece with rain stick so that I could buy one. It worked great. 10/10 would reccomend, though be aware for youner students it is a bit heavy.

We always have the students start with one of those rainsticks that last for about 5 seconds, then we pull this rainstick out, and the students LOVE it! Thanks LP for making a great product. Worth the money you will spend on this.

The rainstick lasts a solid 25 seconds. I use it in a classroom for transitions between tasks. The students enjoy having 25 seconds to finish up whatever it is that the are working on or discussing.

This instrument has a great sound. Very articulate. Also, it is one of the longest sounding rainsticks I have heard. Looks great as well.

I had previously purchased one of LP's World Beat cactus rain sticks, which had a very nice sound as long as the music called for a sustain that lasted for 10 seconds or less. For anything more, I would have to quickly turn it upside down again. LP's monsoon rainmaker has a sustain that lasts for a whopping 30 seconds! I still love my cactus rainstick, but in musical situations that call for long-lasting rain stick sustains, I've gotta go with the monsoon maker.
