Get away from the industry standards in sticks/ mallets. You might surprise yourself if you take a chance on something new. I've really enjoyed all of the Salyers sticks/ mallets that I've tried. The MAS4 continues in this new tradition. Sometimes it's as simple as "it just feels good in my hands". Don't be scared to try a different brand of stick.
Excellent stick. Great balance and feel. A beefy stick. Reminds me a bit of the Vic Firth John Mapes snare stick. Salyers has great quality control, bought two pairs and both feel great and nearly identical in weight. Highly recommend these.
