Svoboda-March of the Puppets (SP)-X/P/GT

March of the Puppets, Op. 95 is a chamber trio for guitar, xylophone, and four temple blocks by Czech-American composer Tomas Svoboda (1939–2022), composed in 1979. The playful, character-driven title suits the crisp, rhythmic energy the instrumentation naturally produces, with the xylophone and temple blocks providing sharp, staccato articulation against the melodic and harmonic color of the guitar.
